- Simply fill a tube sock with baking soda, or tea leaves; tie the end closed; and place the filled socks in the shoes when you're not wearing them
- Invest in a good shoe deodorant, which you can easily get it from any pharmacy or toiletries stores. Spray inside your shoes after you wear them each time, this will help to kill the germs and keep your shoes refresh.
- Place a used teabag in each of your shoe overnight. Not only does this help to absorb any unpleasant odour, but it can also diffuse a fragrant tea leaf smell in your shoes
- Put your shoes in a plastic bag and put them in the freezer overnight. This will kill all the germs and bacteria that is causing the bad odour in your shoes.
- Do wear cotton socks when wearing sneakers and boots or cotton toe caps for covered heels or slingback women shoes whenever you can. They will absorb your sweat and prevent your shoes from getting smelly.
- If your shoes ever get moist or wet, let them dry completely before wearing them again. You can stuff them with newspaper, coat them with talcum powder, or even throw them into the dryer but don’t put them back onto your feet!
- After your showers take care to dry your feet well, especially the spaces between your toes. If your feet are moist when you put on your shoes then your shoes are going to stink.
- Don't wear the same shoes two days in a row. Give them time to dry and air out completely between wearings
- put a couple of pieces of barbecue charcoal wrapped inside a paper towel in your shoes.
- Spray your feet with anti per spirant or deodorant.
